Mantech Electronics (MANTECH) is an international marketer and distributor of electronic
components, tools, consumables, test equipment and industrial products
based, and incorporated, in South Africa.
The company is a subsidiary of the Mobicon Group, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
MANTECH was established in 1987 by Manuel Arnaldo De Sousa Moutinho. In 1990, MANTECH acquired the business of ANDON COMPONENTS,
a distributor specialising in power capacitors.
In 2001, MANTECH merged into the MOBICON
GROUP. In 2012, MANTECH acquired SUNTRONIKA, a distributor
specialising in agencies and distributorships of passive and electromechanical
components. In 2013, MANTECH acquired AP ELECTRONICS, a general
electronic components retailer.
MANTECH retails, distributes and wholesales electronic and
electrical components, parts, tools, instruments and consumables for most
industrial and non-industrial sectors. These include, amongst many others,
semiconductors, relays, switches, oscilloscopes, power supplies, wire and cable,
etc.
Mantech is based in South Africa, operating through its headquarters in Johannesburg and a network of branches in
Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
SWAN Electric, Alfa Elktor, MBM, MBS and SA-TEC PARTS are sister companies and brands of MANTECH and subsidiaries of the MOBICON group.
